This was the first trail we tried in our Jeep, and I wouldn't recommend the trail for beginners. Luckily, we came across a couple who we followed along the trail who were extremely kind and helpful. Beautiful, fun, and scary trail. Worth the risk if experienced.

Unbelievable trail for views and history of 4 wheeling in Colorado. A classic and bucket list trail if never have done the trail before. Intermediate trail that has some challenging sections that keeps you on your toes. 5 star trail for fun and views and meeting great people on the trail too!

This trail definitely gets after it and right away too. Not always an easy line so experienced riders are recommended. If you take a heavy adventure bike, expect to add some character to your ride

Spectacular views across the Rockies from the Continental Divide. The one-way trail can be challenging and really requires an upgraded 4x4 vehicle

This has quickly become one of my favorite trails, (it’s a close 2nd to Imogene Pass). This is one amazing place to see. It is a beautiful drive, beautiful views. If you want to TRULY see Colorado and the beautiful Rocky Mountains, definitely go here! ?
Please be kind to the tender Tundra especially above tree line, stay on the trails, don’t drive in places you shouldn’t (like some people that day). Respect!

We combined the Red Cone trail with 3 more: Radical Hill, Middle and North Swan. It was a very long, but most epic day. The views (and wildlife) were more and more spectacular each time we got to the next mountain top. Breathtaking ?

PS: if you can’t get there… you can just hire me to take you! Haha ? I’ll go back anytime.

Great trail not too difficult but gets a little sketchy descending from top of red cone. Many books say a stock vehicle can do this trail but I've seen many stock vehicles turn around in the middle of the trail as they are getting hung up for won't be drivable by the time they make it to the end if they make it. Great views and Usually see goats at the top of red cone or Webster pass

Very challenging...
High clearance, 4 wheel drive is a must!
Incredible views, great photo ops and some wildlife. The weather changes quickly, so dress appropriately.

GORGEOUS, especially on a Monday morning when I had the trail to myself. Also a lot for me and my camping-loaded TW200. I felt like my 18" wheels were finding the bottom of every whole and climbing mountains over every rock (the first mile-ish and then one steep slope were the hardest), but only had to walk the altitude-weakened thing up a couple of steep spots along the ridgeline. Sheep and a moose were treats to see!
