On 9/21 I booked a room using the choice hotels website. I arrived on 9/23 to check inn. The lobby looked fine. I soon realized the hotel was being remodeled. The pool and hot tub were unavailable no carpet in the halls. The room was not complete exposed wiring. No hot breakfast. This was a terrible stay. I asked for a partial refund due to the conditions. That request was ignored. Terrible hotel. I will never use this hotel again. I have reached out to Angela with no response. Go to another hotel. How does it have 3.8 stars on the wesite with all of the bad reviews.
Angela and choice hotels made things right. I feel it is fair to add this to the review and raise the rating.

If they had a half star, I would use that instead! I booked a hotel tonight online, the payment went through, and when I arrived to check in, they told me no rooms were available! How are you going to show rooms are available and take peoples money and do nothing about it. This place is not worth your time and not worth dealing with poor management, if you can’t run a hotel then get out of the business..

The hotel is under construction. The breakfast lady is rude. The facilities are under stocked with basics like hand soap. Dont stay here until renovation is complete

Angela, the general manager of this hotel, gave me the worst customer experience I’ve ever had dealing with a hotel. Her attitude was terrible, she was short with me and wouldn’t explain a specific company policy that I had a question about. I work for another Choice brand hotel in town and was attempting to get my father put up in a room for his visit to town, and was going to use one of the benefits available to employees of Choice Hotels. Angela acted as though I personally offended her by requesting information and became rude with me, which I’ve heard from some of her past employees is a constant factor of working around her. Save yourself the trouble of interacting this lady and choose another hotel in town, like the Clarion right off the Concho River. It’s near downtown, and my dad much prefers being there than being around that sort of negativity. I’ve no idea if this comfort suites lives up to the Choice Hotel brand, but I guess I’ll never know. I hope the district manager or the Choice Hotel brand reads this review so that this issue can be brought to light.

I tried to rent a room because my heating system at home was out and wouldn’t be fix till the next day. I was told they don’t rent out to locals. Discriminating on locals seems pretty new to me.

There is always an issue with this hotels, I got it resolve quickly and it was my only option in the area but I try to avoid them. I was so tired and at least the bed was comfortable!
