We randomly stumbled on this place while having a stroll in Chinatown . We had Chinese milk tea and two starters . The starters were really nice . Had crispy wontons for the first time in my life and it was great . The salt and pepper chicken wings were nice too

Tonight was our first night eating out in New Castle. We wanted to try Chinese food. Im Chinatown, we stopped a random stranger and be said this place was his favorite.

We ordered many dishes, and they were all tasty, but what I enjoyed more, as an American on vacation, was the authentic unforced kindness of the workers at the restaurant.

They went above and beyond making myself, my 2 year old daughter (who was all over the place), and 2 other guests with us, feel welcomed.

I even askes for Beef and Broccoli, which was not on their menu, and they made it for me.

If you are looking for a great experience, please do yourself a favor and head over to Red Diner and enjoy a night out.

Bring cash to leave a tip. I regret that we did not take cash with us, just 5?. I hope this review helps make up for it

Food barely made the mark for UK Chinese food standards, all the flavours were there as it should. Although I'd avoid the duck meat, as it was dry and the flavourless. The rice that was served could also have been better, as there was charred bits, and overall dry, and not what I'd expect of steamed white rice.

Perhaps the restaurant next door might fare better as it was crowded compared to this, which was empty on a Sunday dinner. Yet the food still took forever to come.

Absolutely superb authentic Sichuan cuisine, the best we've had in the UK! Good value for money given the quality of food, friendly staff and overall a great experience, highly recommend!

Food is excellent and Staff gave great recommendations. We had Mapo Taufo, Fish with Abergjne and Salad Pork Ribs. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

But there is some Hong Kong customer speaking so LOUD as if they are giving a lecture. ? Really spoilt the ambience. The Super Noisy Group is in the photo.

Perhaps having some ambience music would be good.

We ordered here for a takeaway for our tea after parking nearby well wow never again our small plastic pots were half full we got the smallest rice and tiny chips I asked for egg fried rice & got boiled the beef was like rubber and the sweet & sour chicken was ?. All for £30 what a total rip off stay well clear folks as we didn’t realise as it’s not showing on there door it has a 2 hygiene rating in June 2024 so never again for me

I've been coming here on and off for the last 10yrs now. The food is consistently really good and good value for money. Staff are always intentive. The place also has karaoke rooms which are a blast! A MUST to visit!!!
