I'm glad we decided to try a different place. We have some favorite restaurants on the area for when we come down for vacation and now we've added a new place. My wife got the shrimp sandwich and enjoyed it very much. I ordered the beer battered cod fish. It was fried perfectly. Nice and crispy. The fish was flaky and delicious. Great stuff. The place was decorated very well. The waitresses were very nice and helpful.

Had the pleasure of meeting owner, Sherry. Everything is homemade.
I tried the House Specialty, the Shrimp Burger which features a crab cake style shrimp pattie, with fries and slaw and old bay mayo on side. It was really good and unique. My husband chose the beer battered cod and stuffed himself. Sweet Tea was on point! We both also had added side salads with house made ranch, which in hind sight was too much to eat in all, but dang that ranch is good so I'm not mad I added it!
Can't wait to visit again. I would love to try other food options next time!

4 of us ate there this evening. We had wings with a Buffalo sauce, clam chowder and 'Gulf Balls', a blend of different fish and shrimp, salmon, smashburger, and fish and chips. Everything was great. And the service was terrific. Sheila P. we hope you will stay awhile because in addition to good food, good service is key and you did a great job and were fun too.
We tried Red Grouper when it 1st opened and were not impressed. We are glad we came back to give it another try. We'll be back. Great job all around.

We tried Red Grouper tonight after reading many positive Facebook reviews, and weren't disappointed. Daniel was our server, and he did an excellent job. We ordered the potato chip appetizer, and lobster special & grouper fish and chips entrees. The potato chips were served with blue cheese & ranch dipping sauces. The hot fresh chips were delicious and vanished quickly. My lobster was perfectly cooked, as were the fish and chips. Looking forward to our next visit.

Had the grouper bites and the special. Snapper with garlic butter sauce and grilled garlic bread. The grouper bites were awesome . The special was anything but special. The snapper.was supposed to be grilled not flat top cooked and seasoned on one side only. A flat top is not a grill!!!! When will people learn this. The angel hair was a little dry as there was not alot of the garlic butter sauce. Not even a drop of it on the plate to dip my bread in. Not even on the snapper itself. The bread looked like it was cooked over the burner of the stove. It definitely wasnt cooked in any oven or on the flat top. Plating needs work. Other than that it was a pleasant experience and will return for a second try.

Stopped at Red Grouper Tavern for lunch. What a nice restaurant. Waiter Matt was very helpful. We had a lobster bruschetta that was a featured appetizer. We tried several items. The onion rings were hand made to order and were excellent. The meatballs contained Italian sausage made in house as well. Cole slaw was minimally sauced and was excellent. We will definitely be making this place a stop when in the Venice area.

My parents, daughter, and I came here for the first time tonight. We started with drinks and ordered the grouper bites and potato skins for appetizers. The serving sizes were perfect for our table (food is missing in the pictures because we descended upon them like locusts), and Karen did a great job of timing the appetizers with our meals. For entrees, we ordered the tavern burger, red snapper, and surf & turf. All of the food was piping hot, the garlic bread was garlicky and delicious, and the serving sizes were perfect with the appetizers. For dessert, we got both the key lime pie and the pineapple upside down cake. Try the latter with a scoop of ice cream, it was fantastic.

Definitely a place we’ll be back to!

What a delightful restaurant! We were greeted & seated right away. Our drinks were tasty. Our group of 5 ladies all ordered the hot lobster roll. Oh my it was so good that I am still thinking about it this morning! The French fries were also very good & the homemade chips were crispy & fresh! Michael was an excellent waiter, attentive but let us girls enjoy our chatter! Both the owners were engaging with customers which is a rarety these days! Don’t pass on this little gem while in Venice! ( Dessert were the chocolate martinis!)
