We recently got married here and the entire experience has been amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they catered to our every need.

From Sharon and Hannah within the wedding planning team to the entire staff, they were all very professional, polite and offered a first class service. Bar staff were very efficient, there wasn’t the typical long wait at the bar, the receptionists were all really nice, courteous complementing each other.

Like all couples about to get married, we were anxious hoping everything would run smoothly and it did. Damon, who coordinated the day, was absolutely superb, approachable and ensured everything ran seamlessly.

The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it, with all the guests commenting on how impressed they were by the Red Hall’s staff.

A special shout out to the handyman who spent the evening before giving the venue a fresh coat of paint, making the bride and her sister drinks, staying late and couldn’t do enough. He was ever so helpful and made a great impression on the eve of the wedding.

This whole experience was divine, it felt genuine throughout and we’ll be forever indebted for the way you made our day such a dream experience.

Even down to the very last minute, helping us bring our things to the car and making us a coffee so we could breathe and have that moment, before we left.

We will look forward to returning very soon and we sincerely thank you for constantly going the extra mile.

Best,
Mr & Mrs Coyle

I stayed just one night at this hotel. The location is really lovely and I was met by a friendly receptionist upon arrival. I chose a small double room and whilst the actual size of the room was adequate, the rest of it was in need of a major refurbishment. Admittedly, my room wasn't expensive compared to the others, but that shouldn't mean it should be of a less clean standard. |The bathroom was quite grubby, with a very rusted wire rack ,which quite frankly should be removed, and the corners of the bath and shower screen were just black and desperately need replacing. |The room walls were scuffed and marked and quite a bit of grime in the corner near the luggage holder, and the bottom of the dressing table was dirty and they were spill marks as you opened the drawers. The carpet had also seen better days. |In all fairness, I should have reported these issues to reception straight away, but I had to be somewhere and just thought, maybe it was because of the price? But on reflection, like I say, that shouldn't really excuse these issues. |On returning later, I realised that the walls were paper thin , now obviously, I'm not holding the hotel responsible for noisy guests, but I've never experienced such thin walls, that I can hear the person in the next room coughing and their general conversation!|I didn't use the bar or restaurant so cannot comment on those. |So, overall I was disappointed, and do really feel that a complete overhaul is needed. ||

Went for afternoon tea with my mother. My dietary needs sorted efficiently and no problems. Staff friendly couldn’t do enough for us. Afternoon tea excellent. Will visit again. Had coffee, Prosecco sandwiches, sausage roll, scones and cakes. Had to bring some home for later.

Had afternoon tea with some work colleagues at the venue. It was a Wowcher deal we picked up and it was fantastic value for money. The staff on the day were brilliant very attentive. I don't drink tea or coffee so they offered me a replacement which was kind of them. The food was well presented and sandwiches fresh with a nice selection. I've been to plenty of afternoon teas and sometimes the sandwiches are not that great. We really enjoyed our afternoon and have no hesitation in booking again.

We stayed overnight for a party. Both the party meal and breakfast on the whole were nicely cooked, the vegetables were the one exception as they were way over cooked.
The receptionist was warm, friendly and welcoming. Other staff were fine, though nice friendly room cleaner.
Our problem was the room. It was rather small with one chair between us. There was only one side table unfortunately, but a huge wardrobe for a small space. The walls had scuff marks on them.
I was not too happy with the standard of the bathroom. The towel rail was rusty as was the small shelf inside the shower. The side post of the door had lots of chips on it. The bath/shower area I found unpleasant, the mastic along the bottom of the shower door, the bath and the basin had black mould on them. There was also mould between some of the grouting. As the hotel was busy we didn't ask to change our room.
All in all the food was value for money, but the room certainly was not value for money. Some upgrade work needs doing.

This was a two night stay for my husband and myself and our dog. We were made extremely welcome and the accommodation and food were both excellent.||I would have liked some prepared fruit for adding to my morning yoghurt - what was available was dried fruit and whole pieces of apples pears and oranges. So it was possible to make a suitable dish, but prepared fruit would have been better.||However the room was charming and as we were close to a rear door it was extremely accessible for the dog and the car park. The staff were lovely and very helpful.
