Stayed here 3 days during the Jackson county fair
2 queen bed room

The rooms were very clean and spacious! It was a very quiet hotel , there's a mini fridge in the room
The bathtub was huge (im 5'10) and loved the tub
The rooms are not "luxurious" but they are very clean and nice
Room smells fresh and clean

The odds:
The beds are a bit dated, firm mattress not the most comfy but still ok
You only get 1 wash cloth, so bring your own or prepare to share lol
The TV works but half the channels had no sound, picture was great just no sound
Other chanels worked fine

There's smoking rooms and non smoking, we some how accidentally picked smoking but they got us a non smoking room 2 separate buildings
Parking lot was safe and lit.
Close to everything we needed

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and the 1st stay was satisfactory. It was safe, clean, I took a hot shower, and the bed was comfy. This time however was a total flop. First, I check in and the clerk seemed astonished that I wanted a non-smoking room (Idk why). Next, I flush my toilet, and the handle snapped both on the exterior and interior of the tank. This would have been an extremely easy fix (and I tried many times to explain it to THREE MEMBERS of the Family Owners/Staff that it took to examine the toilet as they fumbled around with the tank innards, as if they had absolutely NO CLUE about how to replace this SIMPLE MECHANISM!) I told them over and over to Simply show me their parts inventory and I'd replace it myself, but again I received ONLY CLUELESSNESS! How can a family of people have successfully run this motel for so very long, and not yet have learned to do BASIC MAINTENANCE. They must be paying a fortune to external maintenance techs, to do repairs that they could EASILY DO themselves. Anyway, after one of said people, ended up soaking the front of my pants with another part of the toilet tank they knew nothing about, they moved me to a different room (instead of just making this simple replacement). I then headed out to work, expecting to be able to take a nice hot shower. Instead, I stood there, the water turned all the way up to Hot, and instead, for 2 minutes or so, I got only Luke warm to cold water. So I called the desk on my cell phone (as I guess they forgot to put a phone in this room like they had in their other rooms lol), and the lady tells me to wait 15 minutes and then check the water temp, which I did, and STILL JUST LUKE WARM water! This is absolutely ridiculous! I want my money back!

Positive: "" Negative: The desk clerk, who was very grumpy, said I had not prepaid for my room. I told her I had and she said no, I had not. So, I paid again, went to my room and found my receipt in my email on my phone. Showed that to clerk and she did not apologize.

This is a really disgusting hotel. Towel bars hanging off of the walls, mold on the ceiling, and the bedding always felt damp. So disgusting. Will never stay here again.

Took my granddaughter and was scared to be there.

Would not recommend staying here. There's a chemical smell in the rooms. Stayed next to my parents for a few night and it smells like they used glue to stick down new flooring. Pretty awful smell. We couldn't even open the window to help get rid of it.

My wife and I had a great time. We were partying, everybody left us alone. The beds were really comfortable. Staff was nice when we utilized them. Thank you very much. We'll be back again and it was very affordable.

We pulled off at the Red Roof Inn at Holton after the weather started changing and travel became difficult. We did not get to stay under the actual Red Roof but were given a room across the parking lot in what looked liked an abandoned old hotel. The thermostat was set at about 55 degrees, there were dead bugs on the floor, a cigarette burn in the comforter, the tv had in and out reception - and it just overall was not real great. But - we were grateful to be off the bad roads - so that was a plus. IF you choose stay there I would recommend that you make sure your room is actually in the main building. That side hotel could use a lot of work.
