Empezando por el servicio, fue horrible, éramos literalmente mi novia y yo en el restaurante, y las bebidas nos llegaron a los 20 minutos, la limonada sabe horrible literalmente es el polvo que sabe a cancer, supuestamente es refillable pero solo tome un vaso de Coca-Cola porque la muchacha nunca nos ofreció más, después cuando pedimos la comida, literalmente son como 10 platos en el menú entero y de los 10 no habían 4, hay como 5 combos y los 5 venían con papas fritas, y adivinen que no había, exacto, papas fritas, llegamos a las 3 pm y el restaurante sierra a las 8 como pa que no no hay comida, la comida no sabía a nada y es muy cara para lo que es, arroz y macarrones insípidos, la hamburguesa súper chiquita, y no habían alitas asadas, y las que nos dieron tenían un color y sabor desagradables, no vuelvo más

We were here for an event and we ended up returning the next day because the food was just that good. The Salmon is to die for….My husband fell in love with the smothered chicken and pork chops…also the regular and Red Velvet cornbread! The Pink Lemonade….OMG, SO GOOD!! Now….a little constructive criticism…is the side dishes are a little pricey for the portion. I ordered a side of rice and got a small cup (not even a healthy portion) for $5…the price is ok as long as it’s….WORTH IT! Also, I ordered a turkey wing dinner to go and there was only 1 turkey wing, turkey wings are not expensive and dinners in mostly all soul food restaurants include 2 meats. My husband had smothered chicken and pork chop and both meals had 2 pieces of both. One other thing, both days we ordered something with the expectation of getting it only to receive disappointing news that….You didn’t have it! When you are out of something let your waitress’ know this, so when customers place the order they can communicate that. Other than that….The food is AMAZING! The customer service was even more Amazing the young lady that waited on us both days was so sweet! When we are in town again we will be returning…..hopefully to some healthier portions for the prices…..(sides) both dine in and take out, a Full menu! Oh and one more thing….I absolutely Loved the old school music vibe…..Yessss!

The wife and I stopped in this place after an event. The layout was very nice. It was intimately lit without being dark. The service was gracious and immediate. The food came out hot and was very tasty. I had the fried catfish while my wife had fried shrimp. The collards were tender and we bumped them up a notch with the pepper vinegar on the table. The Mac was on point - although I think a little more cheese would have put it over the top. Two types of cornbread (classic and red velvet) sealed the deal. We will definitely make Red Velvet a stop when we return to the area.

The restaurant itself is nice, very clean with ample seating. We sat in a near empty restaurant with a movie playing loudly with entirely too much profanity. Instead of changing the movie, they opted to raise the volume of the music ?

The service was average, the server was nice enough.

On to the food, we ordered the fried catfish with collard greens and black eyed peas and fried pork chops with collard greens and mac & cheese, both with cornbread. Fish and chops were pretty good. The sides were not very good. Very good sweet tea. We finished our meals with sweet potato pie, served warm with ice cream. The pie had too much nutmeg and was overly sweet.

I really wanted to love this place, unfortunately it was average at best.

I very much enjoyed myself. Thank you I finally found great mac n cheese. Omg yes someone who makes green beans the right way... the fried chicken was clucking good. I'm definitely locked in this location, I will b returning regularly... I want to try the whole menu now. Also the atmosphere is totally a TLC vibe music was Terrific, the Food was Lovely, and the service Caring. I appreciate these things when eating out, yet wanting that home food feeling.

This is a Fresh and New Look for South FL! I just stopped in to this new Soul Food spot “Red Velvet Kitchen & Grill”! It was such a refreshing experience from the usual south FL soul food spots for me. The atmosphere was chic and relaxing. The menu has some of your traditional soul food meals. They are newly opened, about 2 months I think, so bring your patience and your appetite as they are still a work in progress. The food presentation was mouthwatering and tasted flavorsome and perfectly seasoned. Not too much seasoning added and not that bland taste either. I had a great experience and the had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Marchell. This family owned business is off to a great start! I highly recommend and will be a regular customer.

The food, vibes and customer service were so OUTSTANDING yesterday, I brought my family today to celebrate my Dad's birthday!

Ebony (owner's daughter) and Courtney (waitress) are ?! They are extremely accommodating and have the BEST and most welcoming demeanor. My entire family enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much! They all said they'd be back!

Visited this black family owned restaurant with my family while visiting from Connecticut. My family of 5 all got different entrees and we were all thoroughly satisfied with the presentation, taste and price. The portions were large enough to share and the prices were extremely reasonable. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff was extremely friendly. We will definitely visit again the next time we're in Ft. Lauderdale
